Building healthier lives on the Gold Coast, one client at a time.
Body Dynamics Allied Health was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves allied health care that's warm, effective, and actually fits their life. Starting from a small clinic in Varsity Lakes in 2014, we've grown into one of the Gold Coast's most trusted multidisciplinary health teams β but we've never lost sight of why we started.
Our founder Trent Thurtell built this practice with a clear vision: an allied health clinic where the disciplines truly collaborate, where the person β not the condition β is at the centre of every decision, and where no-one is turned away because of funding complexity. Today, that vision is lived out by a team of dedicated practitioners who choose Body Dynamics because they believe in doing health differently.
These aren't just words on a wall β they're the principles every team member lives by, every day.
Your goals drive everything we do. We listen first, plan second, and check in often. Your health journey is yours β we're just here to guide it.
Every plan is built on the latest clinical research. Our practitioners are committed to ongoing professional development so you always get best-practice care.
Our disciplines talk to each other. When your EP, OT, and Speech Path are all aligned on your goals, the outcomes are simply better.
Everyone is welcome, whatever your background, ability, or life stage. We're proud to serve one of the Gold Coast's most diverse communities.
In-clinic, at home, or out in the community β we bring care to you. Because health shouldn't wait until you can get to us.
We're part of the Gold Coast for the long haul. We sponsor local events, partner with community organisations, and invest in this place we call home.
Our practitioners are passionate, experienced, and genuinely care about your outcomes.

Gold Coast's most comprehensive allied health clinic. Seven disciplines. One team. Your goals.

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) design individualised exercise programs to treat, manage, and prevent chronic disease and injury. Whether you're recovering from a stroke, managing diabetes, living with a disability, or working towards NDIS goals β your EP creates a science-backed plan that moves with your life. Sessions available in-clinic, at home, or in the community.

Our chiropractors take an evidence-based approach to diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions β from back and neck pain to headaches, sports injuries, and joint dysfunction. Using a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue treatment, exercise prescription, and education, we help you find long-term relief, not just short-term fixes. No referral needed.

Our Occupational Therapists support clients to live more independently at home, at work, and in the community. We provide assessments for daily living, home modifications, assistive technology, functional capacity, and cognitive support. Specialising in NDIS, aged care, and paediatric populations β we work with you to identify what matters most and remove the barriers in your way.

Our Speech Pathologists work with children and adults to assess and treat difficulties with communication, language, speech, voice, fluency, and swallowing. We support clients with autism, developmental delays, stroke, brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions. Using AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) tools, we help every client find their voice.
Our Accredited Practising Dietitians provide evidence-based nutrition advice for a wide range of health conditions and goals. Whether you're managing diabetes, heart disease, digestive issues, weight, or simply wanting to eat better β we create personalised, realistic plans that fit your life. Bulk-billing available under Medicare EPC for eligible patients.

Our experienced massage therapists deliver targeted massage and assisted stretch therapy for pain relief, muscle recovery, postural improvement, and deep relaxation. Whether you're dealing with a specific injury, chronic tension, or just need to recover from a demanding week β our therapists tailor every session to your needs and preferences.

Our registered Support Workers work alongside NDIS participants to build capacity, achieve daily living goals, and live more independently. From community access and personal care to skill development and social participation β our team is matched carefully to each client for a genuine, ongoing relationship that supports your whole life, not just your plan.
Clinical exercise specialists for chronic disease, disability, rehabilitation, and NDIS. In-clinic and home visits available.
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a university-qualified allied health professional specialising in the clinical application of exercise to treat, manage, and prevent chronic disease, injury, and disability. Recognised by ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia), AEPs are eligible to deliver Medicare EPC sessions, NDIS services, DVA care, and much more.
Unlike a personal trainer, an Exercise Physiologist works within the healthcare system as a clinical professional. They conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose movement deficits, and design evidence-based exercise programs specifically matched to your medical history, functional capacity, and personal goals.
At Body Dynamics, our EPs don't just prescribe exercises β they educate, motivate, and walk alongside you through your health journey. Whether your goal is to manage pain, regain independence, improve mental health, or simply move better as you age, an EP can make a life-changing difference.
ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologists. All our EPs hold current ESSA accreditation and maintain ongoing professional development in their specialty areas.
Exercise Physiology is effective across a huge range of health conditions. If you don't see yours here, call us β we can help.
We come to you, or you come to us β whatever works best for your life and goals.
Starting with us is simple. Here's how your EP journey looks from day one.
Comprehensive health history, functional movement screen, goal setting conversation, and funding discussion. About 60β90 minutes.
We identify your short and long-term goals, any medical clearances needed, and agree on what success looks like for you.
A personalised, evidence-based exercise program is built just for you. We explain every component and how it supports your goals.
Regular reviews, program progressions, and communication with your GP, specialists, and NDIS team. We're with you for the long term.
Exercise Physiology is covered by more funding streams than almost any other allied health discipline.
We make NDIS simple. Registered provider for all plan types. Exercise Physiology, OT, Speech, Support Work, Dietetics, and more.
Body Dynamics Allied Health is a fully registered NDIS provider, meaning we can deliver services to participants whose plans are managed by the NDIA directly. We also work with plan-managed and self-managed participants across all our disciplines.
We understand the NDIS can feel complex and overwhelming. Our team includes experienced NDIS practitioners who handle the paperwork, write progress reports, and communicate with your support coordinator β so you can focus on your goals, not the admin.

The Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program allows eligible patients to access up to 5 subsidised allied health visits per calendar year. To access this funding, you need a GP referral β your doctor will prepare a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) that identifies which allied health services are appropriate for your condition.
At Body Dynamics, we bulk-bill some services under Medicare EPC, meaning there may be no out-of-pocket cost. Contact us to confirm bulk-billing availability for your specific service.
Body Dynamics is a fully registered NDIS provider. We accept self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed participants across all our allied health disciplines. Our team is experienced in the NDIS and handles all reporting, service agreements, and NDIS portal claims on your behalf.
We proudly support Australian veterans and their families through the DVA allied health program. Gold Card holders can access any medically necessary allied health service. White Card holders can access services related to accepted conditions.
If you're an older Australian receiving a Home Care Package (Level 1β4), allied health services like Exercise Physiology and Occupational Therapy can be included as part of your care plan. This is an excellent way to use HCP funds for preventive and functional health goals.
If you've sustained a workplace injury and have an active WorkCover Queensland claim, allied health services may be covered as part of your rehabilitation plan. Exercise Physiology in particular is highly effective for return-to-work programs and functional restoration.
If you've been injured in a motor vehicle accident, CTP (Compulsory Third Party) insurance may fund allied health rehabilitation as part of your treatment and recovery plan. We work with Queensland CTP insurers to provide appropriate care.
Many private health funds offer rebates for allied health services through their extras cover. The amount you can claim depends on your specific policy, your annual limit, and the service type. We provide HICAPS on-the-spot claiming at the clinic β just bring your health fund card.
You're always welcome to book and pay privately β no referral, no paperwork, no waiting. Private rates are competitive and transparent. We accept EFTPOS, credit card, and bank transfer. Ask about our prepaid session packs for discounted rates.
For most services, no β you can book directly without a GP referral. You'll only need a referral if you want to use Medicare EPC, WorkCover, or CTP funding. For DVA, a referral is not required for Exercise Physiology.
Yes, in some cases. For example, you may use your Medicare EPC visits early in the year and then switch to private pay. NDIS funding is typically used for NDIS-specific goals and cannot be combined with Medicare for the same visit.
Talk to your GP. If you have a chronic health condition (one that's been present for 6 months or more), you're likely eligible. Your GP will prepare the management plan and referral. We can help you understand what to ask your doctor.
We'd love to hear from you. Book an appointment, ask a question, or just say hello.
